Who is Aunt Helen and why now am I starting this business?
I was raised in a very big family, having three older brothers and many cousins since my mom was 1 of 17. Since she had so many nieces and nephews, she was known more for being “Aunt Helen” than she was “Mom”. I grew up watching my mom bake with family which usually was her sisters and sister in laws.
We had cookies tables for most family events which included graduations, bridal showers, holidays, and, of course, weddings.
I started baking cookies for Christmas as I started to have children of my own. Now I’m at a time in my life where I can do what I enjoy doing most which is spending time with my grandkids and baking cookies. Baking a variety of cookies for family and friends for special events, holidays, & bridal/baby showers, and weddings is something that now brings me the same enjoyment as it did for my mom.
It’s a wonderful tradition that I’m proud to carry on.
Therefore, I want to continue to share with others what she started with me while honoring her with her name on the business. Aunt Helen’s Cookies means the world to me. The cookies are baked with love and made from generational recipes that have made timeless memories for my family and friends. It is my hope that by getting the opportunity to enjoy Aunt Helens Cookies that you can also create new timeless memories with those that you love.
